Alabaster was born out of necessity. The need to release an emotion, we therefore perceive the maximum peak of that emotion in a work that does not end: it remained alive when it was created. From Michelangelo's “Unfinished” to Brâncuși's “Column without end”, Alabaster tries to be a Chimera in the contemporary, an eulogy to kindness. In the unfinished, in the undone, we still find the apex of emotion, it stops there even before ending up in perfection, that perfection; pure human illusion. White is a choice, worked in this way, drawing on Renaissance knowledge with the only use of natural materials to give grace to a time that has been. The absence of color is a further suspension, a further absence of definition.
